Ltd. & the Department of Tourism and consequent implications to Goa’s image as a safe beach tourist destination and the alternate arrangements made by the contractor of Drishti Life Saving Pvt. Ltd. for employing people from neighbouring States replacing Goan life saving guards. Steps the Government has taken to resolve the issue of the
son of soil”.

The incessant and heavy rains could lead to its collapse if the Government authorities don’t put things in right direction at the earliest and the steps the Government intends to take to avoid disaster and any un-towards incident.”

15A.  *WILL the Minister for Public Works be pleased to state:
  
(a) the total amount of grant received from the Central Government for the expansion of the National Highway from Patradevi to Pollem from the year 2012 till date;
(b) the details of total amount for which contract allocated and actual expenditure incurred till date;
(c) whether the funds granted are sufficient, if not, whether the Government has made any alternate arrangements of funds, if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the affected land owners have been compensated as per market price or lesser than the market price; and
(e) the present status of each work along with the date of tender, amount of tender, amount paid to each tenderer and amount pending on each tender?

(a) the total amount of grant received from the Central Government for the expansion of the National Highway from Patradevi to Pollem from the year 2012 till date;

Sir,

The total amount of grant received from the Central Government for the expansion of the National highway from the year 2012 till date is Rs.4651.92 cr.

(b) the details of total amount for which contract allocated and actual expenditure incurred till date;

As per Annexure A.

(c) whether the funds granted are sufficient, if not, whether the Government has made any alternate arrangements of funds, if so, the details thereof;

The funds are disbursed by MoRTH, Government of India and the adequate funds as per sanctions from time to time are made available by the Ministry. As such there is no need for the State Government to make any alternate arrangements.

(d) whether the affected land owners have been compensated as per market price or lesser than the market price; and

Affected Land owners have been compensated with market price as determined under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

(e) the present status of each work along with the date of tender, amount of tender, amount paid to each tenderer and amount pending on each tender?
