“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Candolim, due to the increasing number of murders taking place in the late nights and wee hours of mornings. Shri Arnold Soares, who was an Overseas Citizen of India, who was residing at Orda, Candolim, for the last 10 years, was brutally murdered in his own ancestral house by an unknown person and after that the accused drove the victim’s car and abandoned it at the hills of Sinquerim, Helipad. The steps the Government has taken in the matter.”

“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the Traditional Dwellers/Fishermen /local inhabitants of the coastal belt of Goa. Since they have received various Inspection Notices/Show Cause Notices/Demolition Orders from Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority for their Residential Houses/Restaurants/Guest Houses/Shops, etc. The livelihood of the Traditional Dwellers/Fishermen/Local inhabitants are at stake. The Steps Government intends to take to help the local people staying within 500 meters of the High Tide Line, within the State of Goa.”

“Fear and anxiety in the minds of people of Calangute/Saligao in particular and North Goa in general regarding the garbage trucks carrying garbage, plying from Sonsoddo in Margao, South Goa to the Solid Waste Management Facility at Calangute/Saligao which may cause health hazards to the citizens. The steps the Government has taken in this regards”.

“fear and anxiety in the minds of parents and the commuting students, to the various aided and Government schools, due to sudden stoppage of Bal Rath services, as the Balrath service employees have threatened to go on indefinite strike due to unfulfilled demands. The measure the Government has taken in the matter.”

“fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Calangute, Pilerne, Saligao and Porvorim that due to the sudden outbreak of massive fire at the Berger- Becker Paint factory at Pilerne Industrial Estate at Saligao, the sudden pollution created in the form of carbon monoxide and various other harmful gases in the environment could create health issues especially to high risk people with asthma or chronic respiratory illnesses and infants. The water of the wells in the said areas has also been contaminated and not safe for drinking purposes, especially in saipem vaddo of Candolim villages. The steps the Government intends to undertake in the matter”.

Shri Michael Lobo, Deputy Speaker, moved the following:

“This House congratulates Master Ankur Kankonkar for his dedication and persistence in obtaining excellence in B.Sc. Computer Science with 95% marks, despite having lost his vision. This achievement will always be an inspiration for the youth of Goa.”       

The Motion was adopted unanimously.

“This House Congratulates two Goan Youths Master Rishi Gomes and Amon Gomes for having stood second and third respectively in India in the Junior Foreign Category “National Super Cross Championship 2015” an ey w be rsenting India at the FIM ASIA
MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 in Malyasia from 14 August, 2015, thus bringing laurels to the State and the Nation”.

“This House Congratulates Ms.Katya Coelho for being the first    Indian to qualify for Youth Olympic (in the Windsurfing Sports) to be held at Nanjing in China in the month of August, 2014.

 “This    House congratulates Mr. Miles Takeo Lobo from Parra village who has  made  Goa  proud  by  winning  second  place in  the  Kyu Category (Rookie Level) at the  10^th  international  LAIDO  Tournament held  in Tokyo.”

This House congratulates Master Dayne Coelho, 15 year old,resident of Calangute who has achieved excellence by winning medals as a windsurfer and who has won 4 times Junior National Championship

Fear and apprehension in the minds of the people to leave their houses and travel on the roads, following the incident wherein a 19-year-old girl Ms. Arti Gond was killed, as a tree fell on her near the Municipal Garden in the city of Panaji. Due to extreme rain showers, the rise in tree falls in the State have increased and has further escalated the worries and fear among the commuters. The steps Government intends to take, to assure the safety of the people of Goa.

SHRI MICHAEL LOBO, Dy. Speaker made a mention about the installation  of sign boards due to the fatal accident on 2/8/2018 at  Mapusa .

SHRI MICHAEL LOBO, MLA made  a mention about “the increased
number of Exhibition-cum-Sale regularly held throughtout Goa are
seriously affecting local Manufactures and Traders.”

SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR, Chief Minister replied to the
Mention.

 SHRI MICHAEL LOBO, MLA made a mention about disposal of dead animals on the roads due to accidents, etc.
