This House strongly recommends the Government for inclusion of Gomantak Maratha Samaj, in the State of Goa in Other Backward Class (OBC) list, so that the Samaj is not deprived of Government benefits and doesn’t have to face social stigma.
SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, Chief Minister replied to the points raised by the Mover.
The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House.

Answer (a) & (b):-Sir, As per enclosed Annexure I. The name of the owner of land is not available with Department.
(c) whether the Government has made any provision to arrange Forests Settlement Officer at Molem Range Forest Office to handle cases of Sanvordem Constituency?
Answer:-At present there are two posts of Forest Settlement Officer, one for North Goa Forest Division and One for South Goa Forest Division. The Office of the Forest Settlement Officer, North Goa Division is at Valpoi. But in order to facilitate public of Savordem constituency, Forest Settlement Officer also hears the matter of Forest Settlement cases under the Indian Forest Act, 1927 at Collem Range Office also.
