PRIVATE MEMBERS’ RESOLUTION - 4

“This House strongly recommends the Government to name one of the stands at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda in honour of former Sports Minister Shri Francisco Monte Cruz, as he had put in lot of efforts to ensure that the stadium is completed in a record period of six months time and was opened in the year 1989 to host the prestigious Nehru Gold Cup, the 1st International Football Tournament in Goa and after which the Stadium could host various National and International Football and Cricket matches. It was only due to his efforts with personal supervision, timely effective decisions and motivation to the team involved in the construction work, which has yielded positive results and has helped the Sports Fraternity immensely”.

 “This House unanimously resolves that sufficient funds in the form of grants be made available to the aided Schools for construction of compound wall and providing C.C.T.V. in the School premises in order to provide security to the children in view of the increase in the crime against School children.”

(a) whether the Government has taken over the Sanjeevani Sugar Factory from the Society; if so, the details of the takeover including date and procedure adopted with copies of relevant file notings; if not, give current status of the Society.
(b) the current status of the Board of Directors/ Shareholders who still have a stake in the Society; furnish all relevant details;
(c) the details of the Staff /Employees strength of Sanjeevani Sugar Factory such as number of total employees, name and address of the employees, designation, whether permanent or temporary employment and their current status with regards to their salaries etc. after the factory became non-operational. furnish details as on date;
(d) whether the Government has provided any Financial Assistance to the farmers after the Sanjeevani Sugar Factory became non-operational, if so, the details, with list of beneficiary farmers and amount paid to them till date.

(e) whether the Government is ready to place on record that the Communidade lands will not be acquired for any projects with Private involvement?
