Fear and anxiety in the minds of people regarding congestion and substantial delay caused by ferry services played between Sarmanas Piligao to Tonka Marcel.
The Goa state is known for ferry services from the olden days and their exist to ferry services being played between Sarmanas Piligao to Toncka Marcel. But these ferry services are always found with congestion & delay because, at the Tonka Marcell sit, there is a narrow creek river touches the existing old ramp & beside this ramp we find land thickly grown with mangroves on either side of the ramp. As the ferry enter in this creek, being narrow it takes substantial time to touch the ramp and during low tide and being shallowaness of the river, the ferry touches the ground level and becomes very difficult to remove or take the reverse of the said ferry.
Meantime when there is an emergency and another ferry is to touch the ramp, it has to halt in between due too peculiar situations like a narrow creek, shallow of the dept of water, and covered thick mangroves bushes.
Under the circumstances whether Government like to take immediate action to survey the entire situation and the availability of land grown with thick mangroves, could be utilized for the expansion and extension of the existing ramp so that both the ferries could play smoothly without any disturbance for entering inti the narrow creek.
