High unemployment rate in the State of Goa

“The House strongly recommends the Government to take serious cognizance of the high unemployment rate in the State of Goa and initiate necessary steps to provide industry-demand based job skills to at least 20,000 unemployed youth in the next two financial years under Skill Development Mission and ensure that Goan candidates are preferred in private sector jobs in the State.”

003A - CANCELLATION OF RATION CARDS

*WILL the Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs be pleased to state:

  1. the total number of BPL ration card holder in Goa and the number of APL and BPL ration cards that have been cancelled because the income of families have exceeded the income limit;
  2. the minutes of the meetings of State Food Commission of the last 5 years;
  3. furnish the copy of file notings related to the recent decision of cancellation of ration cards of families that have exceeded the income limit;
  4. furnish details of procedure for cancelling the ration cards for exceeding the income limit including the details of grievances redressal mechanisms; and
  5. the details of all ration cards cancelled since FY 2020-21 till date along with the dates when notices were sent?

Will the Minister for Civil Supplies be pleased to state :

By Hon’ble Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

 

( a )

The total number of BPL ration card holder in Goa and the number of APL and BPL ration cards that have been cancelled because the income of families have exceeded the income limit;

Sir, 

         No ration cards with type BPL are maintained by this Office after the implementation of NFSA 2013 in the State of Goa in the year Dec. 2015.

 

      The Department has not cancelled any Ration Cards. However 813 Nos of APL Ration Cards holders have surrendered their Ration cards because the income of families have exceeded the income limit;   

( b )

The minutes of the meetings of State Food Commission of the last 5 years;

       The State Food Commission has not held any meetings for the last 5 years in this regards. 

 

(c)

Furnish the copy of file noting related to the recent decision of cancellation of ration cards of families that have exceeded the income limit;

        No proposal for cancellation of Ration cards of families that have exceeded the income limit was                                                   sent to the Government.

(d)

Furnish details of procedure for cancelling the ration cards for exceeding the income limit including the details of grievances redressal mechanisms; and

    Does not arise in view of ‘C’ above.   

(e)

The details of all ration cards cancelled since FY 2020-21 till date along with the dates when notices were sent?

  2. furnish copies of the file notings, DPR and Lease agreement of all tourism properties and hotels that have been leased/ handed over or is in process of being leased/ handed over to private entities till date;
  3. the detailed break up of all the payments and commissions paid by the Goa Tourism Department, GTDC or any other bodies under Goa Tourism in the last 5 years for services provided by GEL along with copies of file notings related to hiring of GEL for providing services and approval of payments thereof;
  4. the list of all private limited companies that have been given shack license or have been given to the companies as sub-lease including location of shack, lease amount and whether permission was taken for sub-leasing the shack; and
  5. the list of all the assurances made by the Tourism Minister in his reply to demands speech during the year 2022 monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly along with the status of the assurances?

(d) furnish the copy of NOC obtained by the agency for sale of alcohol inside the Aguada Fort; and
(e) furnish the copy of directives if any issued by the Government to stop the sale of alcohol inside the Fort?

Sir, the copy of the Agreement signed between the Goa Tourism Development Corporation Limited (GTDC) and the agency running the tourism services at fort Aguada lower part is annexed hereto as “Annexure A.”

 The copy of NOC obtained by the agency for serving of alcohol is annexed hereto as “Annexure B.”

E.

Furnish the copy of directives if any issued by the Government to stop the sale of alcohol inside the Fort?

(b) whether Saline water is entering the above field; if so, give details of the steps taken to avoid it from happening;

(d) furnish the details of harvest of last 5 cultivation done by the Department in the above fields; and
