The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House

The following Resolution tabled by Shri Ravi Naik, MLA was not moved as the Member concerned was not present in the House:

“This House strongly recommends the Government to construct a by-pass road from Ponda Tisk, Dhavali upto Borim bridge, which is at a stretch of 4 kms in order to avoid traffic congestion and prevent major road accidents as the existing road is very narrow.”

PRIVATE MEMBERS’ RESOLUTION

This House unanimously resolves that the Government should not sign and withdraw if signed, any MoU between the Inland Waterways Authority of India and MPT in order to protect the right of our rivers like Mandovi, Zuari, Chapora, Mapusa, Sal and Cumbharjua in the State of Goa.

SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, Chief Minister for replied to the points raised by the Mover.

The Resolution was put to vote, then Division was sought and defeated by 21 to 10 votes

Fear and anxiety in the mind of people of Ponda regarding Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories due to the Code of Regulation 2018, wherein for procedure of supply and installation of more than 100KV separate transformer and replacement and erection of new electric poles and replacement of street lights and bulbs shall be installed at Consumers Cost. This regulations/procedure creates hardship to the common local people of Goa, inspite of the infrastructure tax. The steps by the Government to provide relief to common people.

Legalise production of Cannabis

Pathetic Road Condition

Shri Ravi Naik, MLA, made a mention as regards thefear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Ponda due to the pathetic conditions of roads in Ponda Constituency, due to digging and damage caused by laying of pipelines by the Sewerage and Infrastructure Development Corporation of Goa Ltd. and Goa Natural Gas Pvt. Ltd, during the last seven years. This is particularly caused by improper planning. The roads are dug up in entire Ponda and Curti Khandepar Panchayat. The work of restoration and resurfacing of roads are still pending. The action the Government intends to take in the matter.

Sir,

Letter of acceptance was issued to the contractor on 07/09/2021 by Goa State Urban Development Agency.

GSUDA has also issued letter to Ponda Municipal Council on 27/09/2021 to hand over the site hindrance free.

(b) the details of work executed by the Ponda Municipal Council at the Ponda Market Complex after the Project was handed over by GSUDA;

The works taken up by Ponda Municipal Council after handing over of the project from the GSUDA are as follows:

  1. Maintenance work of Market Complex has been completed.
  2. Maintenance of electrical works (Internal and External) is in progress.
  3. Maintenance of lifts work has been completed.
(c) the number of shops allotted, number of shops vacant and reasons for vacant shops/offices; andThe details are enclosed at Annexure-A.
(d) the number of proposed works left to be completed with details of estimated cost and present status ?

The work of “Maintenance of electrical works (Internal and External) for Market complex is in progress.
