SMT. ALINA SALDANHA, MLA made a mention about the apprehension in the minds of the people of Cortalim and Quelossim villages that the proposed hotel to be constructed by GTDC, near Kesarval Spring, through PPP mode, will pollute the spring and destroy the biodiversity of the area.

012A - DAMAGES TO THE FIELDS DUE TO THE ONGOING WORKS OF THE NEW ZUARI BRIDGE

*WILL the Minister for Agriculture be pleased to state: 

(a) whether the Government is aware that the fields along the alignment of the new Zuari Bridge are filled with lot of debris, mud, construction material inconveniencing  farmers from cultivating their fields; 
(b) if so, the time frame by which this mud, debris of construction material will be removed from the fields especially in Cortalim Constituency; 
(c) whether the fields/ land will be reverted back to its original status to enable the farmers to carry on with cultivation; 
(d) whether the Government is aware that due to the ongoing Zuari Bridge works almost all the cross drains, especially in Cortalim Constituency are chocked resulting in  water logging and depriving the farmers from cultivation;  
(e) if so, whether the Agriculture Department  has taken cognizance of this situation or whether any efforts have been made to instruct the PWD or the Bridge Contractor to clear these cross drains; and 
(f) whether the farmers have been paid compensation for the damage done to their fields/ crops due to the ongoing bridge works; if so, the details of the compensation paid to the affected farmers of Cortalim Constituency?

Every case of Dengue is visited by Rapid Response Team  & source reduction, Antilarval & Fogging is done during visit.

Routine Fogging is conducted by Concern village Panchayat. 

Panchayat has procured Fogging Machine, Village wise fogging is being done.

(a) a site inspection was carried out by the Mamlatdar of Mormugao Taluka on 22/11/2018 w.r.t. operation of illegal scrapyards and massive land filling at Zuarinagar in the village of Sancoale, the action that has been taken on this illegal action that is going on till date; and 
(b) the massive land filling activity along NH17B in Cortalim village in Survey. No. 128/1 was reported to the Collector – South on 02/04/2019, the action taken on this illegal act that is still going on?

(a) whether the Environment Department has put a definite cap on the quantum of coal to be transported through the State of Goa to decease the pollution levels within the State; and 
(b) as per the headlines covered by the Times of India dated 25th February, 2021 the Hon’ble Chief Minister had urged the Union Minister for Railways to transport coal in ‘hard top covered, sealed’ rakes, furnish the status of this proposal that will go a long way in decreasing the pollution caused by coal?

job reservation to the locals of the State where the industry is located, if so, 
i) whether the Industrial Policy of the State is being implemented by the Department of Industries in Goa; 
ii) the percentage/quota of job reservations as per the Policy; and 
(c) whether the Government has any information with respect to the number of Goans/Locals that have been recruited through the opportunities  made available at job fairs which were conducted in the State about a year ago?
