This House strongly recommends the Government to allay the sufferings of the people affected by Selaulim Dam Rehabilitation by ensuring that the allocated area of 10,000 sq.mts. for agricultural purpose and area of 400 sq.mts. for housing purpose be given to all 643 sufferers in said designated area to be transferred from Cultivator Occupant class-II to Occupant class-I such that all affected have ownership rights which was promised and is being denied for so long.

This House strongly recommends the Government to allay the sufferings of the people by ensuring that the Mediclaim Schemes sanctioned for availing of various medical treatments, facilities, etc. due to non-payment of previousbills raised by them, the patients are forced to pay the Hospitals by arranging their own money and then seek re-imbursement from the Government.

Action the Government of Goa will take to urgently convene a joint meeting with the DGS, Mumbai NUSI, Welfare Fund Society and Goan Seamen Association not to discontinue the same but to increase the ex-gratia payment.”
