This House strongly recommends the Government in the larger interests of the people as well as student community of Goa, mainly from the Constituencies and adjacent areas of Quepem and Salcete Taluka, to construct and provide Kala Bhavan at Quepem to promote, encourage and upgrade their skills and talents in the field of Drama, Elocution, Music, Art and other Cultural activities.

This House strongly recommends the Government to allay the sufferings of the people affected by Selaulim Dam Rehabilitation by ensuring that the allocated area of 10,000 sq.mts. for agricultural purpose and area of 400 sq.mts. for housing purpose be given to all 643 sufferers in said designated area to be transferred from Cultivator Occupant class-II to Occupant class-I such that all affected have ownership rights which was promised and is being denied for so long.

This House strongly recommends the Government to provide morgue facilities in all the fully fledged Primary Health Centers so as to ease the burden on existing morgue facilities at Goa Medical College, Bambolim and Hospicio Hospital, Margao and also for the convenience of people from rural areas and families of the deceased persons.”

Postponed Resolution called by Shri Chandrakant Kavalekar, (Leader of Opposition) originally slated for answer on 28/7/2017.

This House strongly recommends the Government to allay the sufferings of the people by ensuring that the Mediclaim Schemes sanctioned for availing of various medical treatments, facilities, etc. due to non-payment of previousbills raised by them, the patients are forced to pay the Hospitals by arranging their own money and then seek re-imbursement from the Government.

1. SHRI CHANDRAKANT KAVALEKAR,Hon. Leader of Opposition to call the attention of Hon. Chief Minister to the following:

“Fear and apprehension in the minds of mining affected people from Goa due to non-resumption of mining operations thereby severely affecting the life of the people and due to which the economy of Goa has been collapsed thereby creating major social issues like steep rise in unemployment, agitations etc. Measures the Government has taken at State as well as Centre level to start the mining in Goa”.

“Fear and anxiety due to great injustice caused to the retired seafarers of Goa specially widows by discontinuing ex-gratia payment by the Seafarers and Welfare Fund Society, Mumbai and that one time lumpsum of Rs. 12,500/- will be paid. Action the Government of Goa will take to urgently convene a joint meeting with the DGS, Mumbai NUSI, Welfare Fund Society and Goan Seamen Association not to discontinue the same but to increase the ex-gratia payment.”

SHRI CHANDRAKANT KAVALEKAR, (LEADER OF OPPOSITION) and Shri Pratapsingh Rane, MLA called the attention of the Chief Minister to the following:

         “Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people that series of incidents have taken place at the places of worship and religious symbols such ascrosses, etc. leading to their desecration by some elements with a view to create Law and Order situation. Action the Government has taken to apprehend the mischief makers”.

 “Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa on account of the Circular issued by the Government banning Government Officers from visiting the Officers of the MLAs as and when they are called for by the respective MLAs to solve the grievances of the people and for other public related works and the steps Government intends to take in this matter.”

Shri Chandrakant Kavalekar, (Leader of Opposition) made a mention about failure of the Government in nabbing the right culprit involved in desecration of the various crosses and other religious structures in the State of Goa.

Shri Chandrakant Kavlekar, (Leader of Opposition) made a mention about the apprehension and anxiety in the minds of residents of Chinchinim due to widening the existing NH 17 inspite of proposed bypass road which was approved by previous Government to avoid damage to the thickly populated wards of Village Chinchinim connecting Cuncolim proposed bypass to avoid severe damages to the existing houses.

Shri Chandrakant Kavalekar, (Leader of Opposition) made a mention about the traffic congestion and unnecessary delays is causing to the commuters due to the ongoing works on both the bridges at Porvorim and Cortalim, especially during the Christmas and New Year week, when there will be thousands of tourists coming to Goa which may lead to law and order problems.

Shri Chandrakant Kavlekar, (Leader of Opposition) made a mention about the domestic tourists visiting the State of Goa via private buses and automobiles using roadside areas in Goa for cooking giving rise to alarming problems of garbage, sanitation, safety, health and security which is negatively affecting the people of Goa.
