                  The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House.

SHRI VISHNU SURYA WAGH, MLA moved the following:

“This House resolves to urge the Government to reschedule the dates of International Film Festival of India- 2014 considering that they will collide with the Exposition of St. Francis Xavier “Goencho Saib” to be held from 22^nd November 2014 onwards. Since the Exposition is held only once in a decade and IFFI an annual affair IFFI-2014 could either be preponed or postponed at a suitable date.”

 SHRI MILIND NAIK, Minister for Information and Publicity replied to the points raised by the mover.

The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House.

“This House unanimously recommends the Government to constitute a Committee to identify, discuss and decide about festivals celebrated all over the State which could be declared as “State Festivals” and would be liable for Government patronage or assistance”.

SHRI DILIP PARULEKAR, Minister for Tourism replied to the points raised by the Mover.         

The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House.

“This House unanimously resolves to urge the Government to formulate a special scheme for the welfare of OBCs in the State and dedicate the same to the great leader of masses late Gopinathraoji Munde so as to keep alive the memory of the former Union Minister who made yeomen efforts to organise OBC Movement across the country.”

SHRI VISHNU SURYA NAIK WAGH , MLA called the attention of the Minister for  Environment to the following:

“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Zuariwada, Goa Velha over erection of two mobile towers in the locality flouting all rules and regulations thereby creating tension and law & order problem. Steps the Government intends to take in the matter”.

“Fear and apprehension in the minds of the people over the revelation of ‘Goa Connection’ of dreaded terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and covert operation undertaken by him and his father in the city of Vasco a few months back, the local police being totally in dark and unable to unearth the movement of suspected ultras. Steps the Government has taken in the matter.”

SHRI VISHNU S. WAGH, MLA made a mention about the fear and anxiety in the minds of people from Goa Velha and Batim over non-availability of water due to damage to water supply pipeline by Reliance cable operators causing tremendous loss of water and also Government property and the steps Government wants to take in this regard.

SHRI VISHNU SURYA WAGH, MLA made a mention about the fear and disgust in the minds of people over shameful incident at Corlim in which a woman was found to be gang raped by a group of 8 men, one of whom is suspected to be a Policeman and the steps Government has taken in this regard to restore feeling of security among the womenfolk.

SHRI VISHNU S. NAIK WAGH, MLA made a mention about the fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of St. Andre over rampant damage caused to the historic Kadamba Rajbid stretching from Agassaim to Old Goa and the threat of permanently loosing this historic heritage due to the invasion of builders and developers.

SHRI VISHNU S. NAIK WAGH, MLA made a mention about the fear and anxiety in the minds of the people, especially the minorities, over non-availability/shortage of beef in the State in wake of Goa Meat Complex Abattoir remaining closed for past several days..

SHRI VISHNU SURYA WAGH, MLA made a mention about “the theft of gold and valuables from the statue of mother Mary at the Holy Shrine (Fulancho Khuris) Bambolim in wee hours of 23^rd July 2014 and action Government wants to take in this regard.”
