Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar, MLA called the attention of Hon. Minister for Panchayats to the following: 

“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Colvale for having taken resolutions by the Village Panchayat Colvale for various development works to be undertaken under Village Panchayat fund have been recorded in the proceedings book without discussing the same in the fortnightly meeting held on 28.06.2017, which were neither on the agenda nor discussions were held on the subject. Action Government intends to take in the matter.”

SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, Minister for Panchayats made a statement in regard thereto.

Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar, MLA sought clarifications.

S/Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar and Dayanand Sopte, MLAs moved the following with amendments:

“This House congratulates the Hon. Minister for Health and the Doctors of the Goa Medical College that has ranked 23^rd across all Government Hospitals in India. It is indeed a proud moment for the Health Department that the Government has made efforts and dedicatedly worked hard to bring Goa Medical College to such great heights. Thus the Government’s vision to make GMC the best Government hospital in the Country with State-of-Art facilities and infrastructure working towards a progressive and healthy Goa has been achieved.

The Motion as amended was adopted unanimously.

  Shri Nilkanth Halankar, MLA moved the following:               

“This House congratulates Shrungi Bandekar, Yash Gaonkar, Jerry D’Mello, Sohan Ganguly, Suman Patil and other Team members for winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Swimming Category and Megan D. Almeida for winning Gold in Diving including Mr. Surjit Ganguly team Coach at 63^rd National School Games in New Delhi, thus bringing pride and glory to Swimming and Diving Sports and to the State of Goa.”

 The Motion was adopted unanimously.

S/Shri Nilkanth Halankar and Dayanand Sopte, MLAs moved the following:

“This House congratulates Master Gurudatta V. Kulkarni and Miss Vaishnavi Joshi for being awarded Balshree in the field of Hindustani Vocal Creative Performance category represented from Bal Bhavan Goa and also recipient of Gomant Bal Bhusan.”

The Motion was adopted unanimously.

SHRI NILKANTH HALANKAR, MLA made a mention about fear in the minds of travellers commuting on NH-17 from Colvale bridge to Guirim Cross Junction, as there is no proper service roads, no proper sign boards which results in fatal accidents.

SHRI NILKANTH HALARNKAR, MLA made a mention about the “two families ( Mrs. Rosalina Lobo and Mrs Mohini Kaskar) hailing from Colvale village in Tivim Constituency that no compensation is paid towards acquisition of their land for Highway project at Colvale and also no plot has been allotted to the said families at the rehabitilisation site, whereas other affected families have already been paid compensation and plots are allotted to them.”

SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, ChiefMinister for replied to the Mention

SHRI NILKANTH HALARNKAR, MLA made a mention about the “Swimmers who are practicing at Peddem Sports Complex regarding non availability of lights, water suction process is not being done on regular basis and the spectator stand which is on the verge of collapse due to sub standard construction at Peddem Sports Complex hampers the daily practice sessions of swimmers.”

SHRI MANOHAR AZGAONKAR, Minister for Sports replied to  the Mention

SHRI NILKANTH HALARNKAR made a mention that as per reports,
some 10,00,000 sq. metres of land at Loliem has been sold involving
politicians.

SHRI VISHWAJIT RANE, Minister for Health replied to the mention.
